October 2013: This October, STUDIO D MAXSI is proud to participate in National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by celebrating survivors with the presentation of the ‘BRA DRESS’. After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common kind of cancer in women. The good news is that many women can survive breast cancer if it’s found and treated early. DC based Ghanaian Afua Sam, Fashion Designer and Owner of STUDIO D MAXSI created ‘THE BRA DRESS’, to celebrate the survivors of breast cancer. The ‘BRA DRESS’, a STUDIO D MAXSI original design, was designed and constructed with love and support to honor all Breast Cancer Survivors around the World. It has been featured in some of the Breast Cancer events that Afua has had the opportunity to participate in including ‘Pink Jams Rocks The Runway’ Fashion Show, ‘Steps To The Cure’ Fashion Show, ‘Green & Gorgeous’ Fashion Event and ‘Pretty In Pink ‘Pop The Runway Fashion Show.
